It does not look like they cleaned the exterior of the slides, walls, support structure after construction - does it affect the operation / experience, probably not, but surprising for a new facility. The one items that surprised me was that the areas around the slides were dirty, both from the day before (cups, towels, masks,etc) and from construction. The tables, chairs and restaurant were clean and had constant disinfections. The water park is nice and kept the kids busy. I did notice a few punch list / clean up items that were missed through the hotel. The grounds were ok, still show some new hotel signs, but it’s a work in progress. They do have electric car chargers, but only for valet - would be nice to have them outside as well. Parking is free, and valet is expensive ($40/ night or $20 for day only). We did notice trash piling up in the stairwell that was there the entire stay.
We took the stairs most of the time since we were on the 4th floor (1 flood above the lobby) - the elevator situation at peak times can create a wait. The rooms do have a small, but usable refrigerator. “Due to COVID,” there is no daily house keeping.
We needed a few items during the stay and used the text function. I would like some additional hooks in restroom / shower area. Room was nice - the doubles plus sofa sleeps 6 comfortably. Late night checkin was quick, but I saw it around lunch time it there was a huge line. First impressions is the places looks and feels like a casino. I called in the day of checkin to let them know we would be arriving late so I wanted to get the sofa bed make - no problem and everything was ready at checkin. I was very impressed with all staff interactions. Overall a very positive experience, but a few areas that need improvement. Just spent a couples nights here as an end of year celebration for my kids.
